Really want to post my opinion on this archon quest, so here i go!

it was amazing! i played through the archon quest for the last few days every since it came out on wednesday, and i deleted reddit after the 4.2. livestream to avoid spoilers. and i’m glad i did because my jaw is on the floor. not even on the floor—it has sunken down to the damn mariana trench.
First of all, i deadass cried at melus and silver’s death. they were like of the most memorable npcs, and since navia is one of my favorite characters, it was a lot…especially the part where they were telling her that when they get buried, they wanted to be buried next to dallas…lots to take in.
second of all, another thing about navia, i cried too when she almost got submerged into the primordial seawater. i was literally yelling at my screen, like, “NO GOD PLEASE NO DONT DO THIS TO NAVIA” that someone entered my room and told me to keep it down LMAO.
next, about furina not being a hydro archon, and her just putting an act…when we saw her history and we saw her mind, i realized how much i related to her. i cried at the moment when she wanted to tell someone, anyone, but she has to keep it to herself, because i know EXACTLY how that feels.
then, seeing focalors sacrifice herself and neuvillette gaining power, and then we start to fight the narwhal. i think those were great and emotional cutscenes. and the cutscene where fontaine starts to flood, it sent chills up my spine, and when the people started being rescued, i couldn’t stop smiling
oh yeah, and it’s also fun to see jurieu and lourvine. but also like…just start fucking omg
now, it wasn’t perfect, i still think that sumeru was an overall better region because i love all of the sumeru cast. but i think fontaine was great too, just behind sumeru’s tail. plus, while the narwhal boss fight was visually cool, the boss fight lasted so short so it felt pretty anticlimactic.
in conclusion, i really enjoyed the fontaine archon quest, and it made me emotional! i know this game is a silly gacha game but it has made me so happy over the years. without genshin, to be honest, my life would’ve been much harder haha.
