The Truth about being a Woman in STEM

I have a little heart-to-heart about what it is like for me to be a woman in science. Then I show some inspiring pictures that students drew at the recent Women in STEM leadership night at the New York Hall of Science.

Rarely are they all three, like men I may add. Please let women just what they want to do. Stop telling them what to do. You are giving these young girls a complex that doesn’t need to be there

I'm also a woman in science, with a daughter of my own. I think you raise some important points, however, I think there's more here---rather than disbanding the phrase "like a girl, " why not reclaim it? Why not re-define it to mean what it truly represents----greatness?
