Excellent way of putting it “don’t let it intimidate you from starting.” I started with just morning and evening walks cause with college and work that’s all that I could fit in in a day. Now I can fit in runs and lifts and next year when school gets intense again I’ll find a way to balance it again.

Well said.

3 one hour sessions a week of Cardio and 3 one hour sessions a week resistance training for an hour each with intensity, consistency, progressive overload is enough.

I’m only doing 5 one hour workouts a week and no where near as hard as Nick is and getting amazing results.

I like the message. Dont compare yourself yo others. Do what you can and push yourself to each time.

Got back into running after getting out the military thanks for bringing back my🔥. Gained 60+ lbs down 25lbs so far. Once I hit 190 again going to try and do this hybrid training.

Now that's the right mindset to have - it should not be an event, but a lifestyle 💪🏻

Love this message Nick. I think it could definitely seem daunting when you see all the different people online that are so successful, but after watching enough of your videos, you put out such a balanced approach to the idea of hybrid and you’ve done such a great job of showing various ways that anybody can get into the sport.

This is an awesome message! I like the run as soon as I finish my lifting session. That’s the most efficient way for me and my schedule

I've found that running fits in really nicely to a powerlifting style training plan. I lift once every few days, sometimes going 2 weeks before hitting the same muscle group again. I run LSDs on most of the days off and it helps my mind and recovery

I do the Hybrid program 4 days out of the week. 2 days are dedicated to the running parts, and the other 2 are dedicated to weight/calisthenics. The other 3 days are dedicated to rest/stretching. I think we can all agree, that is plenty for the vast majority of folks.

Very motivational to hear how Nick captions it…let you know that even if it’s not something daily, you can still take one or two days and make at least one step in the direction of a better you!! A great way of “every step counts”

Hybrid athletes are power building enthusiasts. If you can’t handle the load… simply run more on your off days at the gym. If your training cycle/regimen is 3 days splits Monday Weds Frid run all the days you don’t workout. Or if your training regimen is 4/5 days a week include longer distance runs on your off days.

I wrestled throughout highschool, and once i started college I lost out on a lot of the hybrid training, and just did bodybuilding because that was all i knew how to do. Ever since learning about this way of training and realizing i can still train like an athlete regardless of my situation i have felt so much better mentally and physically.

One thing I’ve learned is that while you may say I can’t fit x or y in to my schedule more often than not that is untrue and what I’m really saying is that I don’t have the energy to fit this into my schedule as opposed to the time which really makes you stop being so hard on yourself because it feels like a lie when it’s not it’s just a misinterpretation of the resource being utilized and you will have more energy the more you train yourself so start slow but start.

I work a 9-5 and still hybrid train. 4 days running, 4 days biking and 3 days lifting. I bike and run on the same day. I couldn’t see myself doing anything else.
