How about some YouTuber expectations vs reality, like the pros and cons of being one for income

So basically unless you're absolutely obsessed with the game or are insanely talented, it's not worth it

As someone who went pro in PUBG for 2 years I can say that the job is not as good as it looks. I played the same game every single day in the darkness of my room, watched only that game, and my life revolved around it. Yes, being paid to play and flying around the world to for compete for hundreds of thousands of dollars was fun, but the time in between events was not. It was grueling hours with lots of practice, preparation and stress to make sure you would play your best when the time came for it. Of course, each player was and is different, and it can change based on what game you play, which organization you play for, and a variety of other factors, but in my experience it wasn't what it was chalked up to be. I dreamed of being a pro gamer since watching Halo 3 MLG 10 years ago and I can say that I did eventually achieve my dream, but I realized that it's not actually what I wanted.

LoL pro players

9-5 scrims blocks(Games, review your games and analyst other team).

Then SoloQ/Stream for 3-4 hours.

Pro Players doesn't have it easy

At lot of wrist injuries+ pressure from people attacking you saying they are better than you at every mistake. You can have a job now, but if you reduce your performance just a bit and somebody will take your job

I'm glad you guys made this. esports is an amazing thing, and the opportunities it allows for people that used to have their favorite activity bashed as a "waste of time" is awesome. But it's a lot of hard work and not everyone makes it. Just like real sports! The more everyone knows about what goes into it, the more responsible we can be with our players and the more we can respect and admire those that make it.

My brother spent over 3 years playing Fortnite and realized that it's impossible to reach esports status so he finally quit and never wanted to become like them. He's now enjoying playing games like Dark Souls.

In short : being an eSport pro gamer is like being a professional sportsman/athlete, with some infamous cons related to video game addiction (playing that one game all day (or rather train), health issues, not being able to socialize, etc.)

That is why I'm telling young kids who idolized pros and want to be one some of the points given by this video. Being a pro gamer requires being extremely good at the game you play. And being extremely good is not equal to just being addicted and so into it. That is what most people believes. "Bro, I'm so good (addicted and toxic) at this game, I WILL BE A PRO GAMER!"

I'd rather be a gaming youtuber and streamer.

Twitch streamer is literally pro gamer without cons, you can play anything you want, earn a decent amount of money without being one of the super hug streams, have set streaming times so can have a life outside playing etc it’s major downside seems to be its hard for people to grow their initial follower base to get into it as a career

Thankfully, unlike these professional gamers, I limit my gaming to 1-4 hours. This helps me to interact with my friends, family members, and my fiance, and play more sports. 10-12 hours is just unhealthy, and can destroy social relationship and your career. Therefore, I had to do more exercizing and sport-playing than video games unlike what these gamers are going. I had to limit my time of video games for those reasons. :|

Question: is taking ADHD medication just accepted in esports (like taking steroids in bodybuilding) or is there a no-tolerance policy like in other sports (baseball or boxing)
