How to Get Rid Of Spotted Lanternflies

Spotted Lanternflies are an invasive species of insect from China that are starting to plague the East Coast of the United States. They don't bite but they are big, damage crops and trees and are downright annoying. Several states have implemented "Stomp It Out" campaign and encouraged people to kill them on sight, but there are just too many to squish this way.

There are, however, some insecticides that kill Spotted Lanternflies. One such insecticide is Permethrin 38%. It's easy to use, relatively safe if used as directed and affordable.

I apply this one every few weeks to my patio, shed, house foundation and bushes around my yard and it does wonders to keep away most bugs. It stays on surfaces for quite a while and slowly kills most insects that touch surfaces treated with it. Be sure to get a solution that is at least 30% or more Permethrin!
