How to Edit 16-bit RAW a7IV Files Pre Lightroom Update | UPDATED VIDEO

THIS IS AN UPDATED METHOD TO A VIDEO I POSTED LAST NIGHT TO CONVERT ARW FILES TO 16bit TIFF TO USE IN LIGHTROOM

If you've managed to get your hands on the new Sony a7IV before Adobe has released its official Lightroom update to support the new RAW files from the camera you are stuck with either shooting in JPEG, Using Sony's Imaging Edge program (Would never recommend) or just not looking at any of your photos from your brand new camera!

If you're in a similar position here is a little workaround I found in order to edit a7IV RAW files in Lightroom before the official update from Adobe is released.

* IMPORTANT * hello guys I SHOT A WEDDING IN SONY A7M4 IN HIF FORMAT NOW THE IMAGES ARE UNSUPPORTED EVERYWHERE (TRIED ADOBE BRIDGE, IMAZING, IMAGING EDGE ) !! Hi! Your video was really helpful. I am not able to use the photos from my A7IV directly with Adobe Lightroom, so I need a way to convert the images, all the videos that I have seen this one has the best outcome, in my opinion. But I do have a question, why do you say that you Using Sony's Imaging Edge program Would never recommend? If you are showing us the video on how to do it. I am confused. Is there another better way to do so? Thank you :)

mate you have lightened my morning... shot yesterday with the new A7 iv and low and behold can I heck get the ARW files to import to Lightroom... can only drag photos off the camera to my iPhone or iPad as JGP, as when I drag over as originals (AWR) they won't show and won't open in Adobe! Going to use your work around here until Adobe come out with the goods in Lightroom. 

Is it me though, why wouldn't Adobe release something at the same time as the camera general release? Sony can't be that backwards that no one at Adobe hasn't had access to a pre-release camera? I know Sony has there editing software at near £200 for a licence, but I mean come on they must know people will buy Sony gear and use third party editing software.

Sony raw files are not 16-big. They are either 14 or 12.
