Cardiovascular System Disorders, Parts 1 - 5

Показать описание
Cardiovascular disorders explained in terms or altered physiology. Physiology is vital to give us an understanding of the normal functioning of the body. This knowledge can help us to maintain health in the people we live and work with. Sometimes however, as a result of trauma, disease or degeneration, the body fails to function normally. This means that, by definition, the function has become abnormal. Abnormal body function is termed pathophysiology. An understanding of normal and abnormal body function is necessary if we are to understand what treatments are indicated in a particular situation. This means physiology, pathophysiology and patient management all interlink. Theory will then inform, and provide rationales for interventions. The focus of this video is abnormal function, but this must be considered in the context of physiology and clinical practice. If we understand this linking and interdependence, we can use our knowledge of theory and practice to directly benefit patient care.

Wish I had teachers like this when I was studying, although I am not in medicine but engineering. Amazing ability to teach without trying to show off using buzz words. Presents exactly the right amount of information at the right place and moves on. Love the use of the fountain pen, and his ability to draw in freehand the concentric circles with equal spacing. While the negative side of the internet is causing so much suffering to people, the positive aspects of internet are exemplified by this brilliant teacher. It is for us to realise the value of internet through learning from teachers like this. Thank you, great work.

I've been listening to your daily SARS-CoV-2, Covid-19 update videos, almost from the first one. Thank you. They've been excellent. Recently I've been exploring some of your teaching sessions as well. These are also very well done. You're a good teacher.

Dr Campbell - you are the best! Thank you for being a fabulously brilliant teacher. Lifesaver for this 54 year old Midwifery student who is simultaneously trying to run an Arts company . You rock.

Thank you! I ve watched a lot of your presentations over the last two years and now I'm moving on to these! You make it interesting and I just want to learn more! At 67 years of age I have a basic knowledge of how our bodies work but these videos fill in the gaps. I wish I was starting out again, I would definitely go into medice. On a personal note I had a mitral valve repair and ablation procedure 2 years ago and I now finally understand what was going on 😁

Thank you so much dr campell. You made it very easy to understand. All of my nursing instructors could not explain it like you do. You are awesome and your videos are free.

Mr Campbell lectures in such a free flow way that the listeners seem that they are listening anatomy, physiology in their vernacular languages. Hat's off to you sir.

I see my cardiologist tomorrow and at 70 this IS my condition in one chapter or another. Wanted to ask what explains difficulty breathing at the edge of sleep even when sitting up. I know you are teaching here and not diagnosing and just had to thank you in advance for helping me to identify my symptoms. My mother was an RN from the 50's thru the 80s and after retiring took care of most of the women friends she had worked with and known her whole career. They had also known me from birth and I was often tasked with elevating the head to their beds one after another unril she too passed away and it was my job to muddle thru without " getting fired" so to speak. Wherever this takes me, having your knowledge and manner will be a companion I wouldnt otherwise have. Thanks and best wishes.

I'm so lucky to have found such an amazing tutor online, at least watching the video clips gives me more insight on what I am reading, but from the look of things I don't need to read at length any more

I learnt a lot because the explanation is well paced and clearly explained without unneeded words. I am not a science student but this is the best teaching of a science subject. Thank you.
