Summary :-
Oxygen is very important for us. It will lead to death if we are deprived of it for only a short time. In the current scenario, dropping of oxygen level is normal. Many studies shows that many cases can be treated at home. Our body tissues utilize oxygen and produce CO2 as a result of metabolism. The main function of our respiratory system is to extract O2 from the atmosphere, deliver it to the tissues and take out CO2 from the tissues and discharge it into the atmosphere.
For cellular respiration- the process in which food is converted into energy.
For the brain - Our brain needs 20% of total oxygen consumption.
For immunity - Insufficient oxygen suppresses parts of the immune system. Oxygen fuels our cells to fight against invaders like bacteria and viruses.

Blood oxygen level is the amount of oxygen circulating in the blood. A normal reading om oximeter is between 95 to 100%. When it drops less than 90 then considered as low oxygen level. When we don't get enough oxygen it goes into the condition of hypoxia.

HYPOXIA :
Hypoxia is a condition when there is a lack of oxygen at the tissue level. Types of hypoxia are hypoxic hypoxia, anemic hypoxia, stagnant hypoxia, and histotoxic anemia.
Symptoms of hypoxia include a change in skin color also known as cyanosis, coughing, confusion, drowsiness, etc. Anoxia is a term used for the complete absence of oxygen in the blood.

THERE ARE SOME METHODS TO INCREASE OXYGEN LEVEL IF THE CONDITION IS NOT SEVERE

1. Exercise and yoga- By performing some breathing exercises like yoga, oxygen levels can be increased.
2. Good ventilation- Proper ventilation is very essential for the passage of gases. Try to keep windows open.
3. Natural environment-Try to surrounds yourself with plants and keep some indoor plants in the room if possible. Plants removes toxins from the air.
4. Drinking enough water- Keep yourself hydrated. The intake of water is deeply connected with oxygenation and energy production.
5. Oxygen therapy- In oxygen therapy, pure oxygen is given to patient.

Apart from it, diet can seriously impact your oxygen levels. Some foods may help to increase your oxygen level.
1. Spinach: spinach is a rich source of iron and helps to carry oxygen throughout the body.
2. Broccoli: Broccoli is rich in antioxidants that neutralize cell damage caused by free radicals.
3. Kiwi: Kiwi contains phytonutrients. It helps to neutralize free radicals and improve the supply of oxygen to the blood.
4. Berries: Berries like red berries and blueberries are loaded with many antioxidants and good water content which also increase your oxygen levels.
5. Watermelon: Watermelons are rich in beta carotene and lycopene which may raise our oxygen levels.
