After you reset the preferences you will need to find where the project file is saved on your computer and open it from there. Since you reset the preferences, the project file won't appear on the opening screen in the "Recently Opened" section. Some people seem to have some confusion with that part. The default area if you don't manually place it is: Documents/Adobe/premiere pro/your version

Make sure to hold down ALT until the premiere page pops up. I just held it until I clicked at first and it the dialogue box didn't pop up! Thanks for the help!
