I'm so thankful for this. After Updating Premiere Pro 2019 (7/4/2019) my files kept crashing during rendering.
I used this technique to save the sequence and import it into a new project. NOTE: The Premiere Pro 2019 Update had changed the mercury playback to an accelerated form, and not the "Mercury Playback Engine Software Only" which I noticed was selected in this video when creating a new project. So I followed this video using the same project settings, and I just finished rendering the same sequence (an hour long video podcast) and it worked perfectly. Thank you so much, this has been a life-saver.

Or you can reset your preferences by hold down the Option (Alt on Windows) button while you click on Premiere, until the splash screen appears. Worked for me!

for me, my project keeps going into the source monitor, and if i transfer it from my source monitor to my actual timeline, it comes out nested instead of how it looked when I was editing it.

In case you get this problem:
A low-level exception occurred in: Text (AEVideoFilter:15) in Adobe Premiere CC 2018 Just go to Edit -> Preferences -> Playback and then uncheck "Enable Mercury Transmit".

Hi man, I am unable to solve my problem. I tried your method but it does not work for me. I was trying to edit when I faced this low level error. When I import a new video into my track, the video shrunk. Would you be able to provide with a solution ? thank you.

Worked for me but since its a different version I just basically made a new project and imported the old one to the new project. Thanks
