Welcome to our comprehensive guide on performing a breast self-examination. This two-part video will empower you to take charge of your breast health. Explore the significance of self-exams and the crucial role they play in early detection.

Begin by standing in front of a mirror and removing your clothes. Lift your arms and observe your breasts. Look for nipple retraction, masses, or dimpling.

Next, examine your neck, upper chest, and underarm (axillary) areas for any unusual lumps, swellings, or tenderness.

Using your fingers, gently feel your breast tissue in a circular motion, covering all areas from top to bottom. Pay special attention to any abnormalities like lumps, changes in texture, or pain.

Carefully examine the nipple and areola for any discharge, puckering, or changes in appearance.

Perform the same steps on your other breast to ensure thorough examination.

Remember, if you notice anything unusual during the self-exam, such as a lump or persistent pain, don't hesitate to consult your healthcare provider. Early detection is key to successful treatment.

I wish my wife would played with her breasts, she did do self breast exam on herself. When she when in for yearly checkup doctor found big lump on right breast. Doctor ask if she done self breast on herself and she said no. Now she had right side of her breast removed. Now cancer doctor appointments she has go every three months for next three years while doctor does breast exam on her. After three years she has go every six months for breast exams for next two years. My point is play with breasts every month find any lumps. if do not cancer doctor appointment will do same things as my wife.
