I just want to say that your honesty, and willingness to be real about weight loss--to cut through fad BS and focus on science--while also somehow managing to not talk down to people is incredibly refreshing in the health and wellness industry.

I'm down 41 lbs now in 4 months by doing exactly what you've said--moving more and eating less--and my new more active lifestyle makes me look forward to every one of your videos.

Lost 25 lbs in 3 months since I started listen to Jillian and count calories and move more! I now eat three times a day with one healthy snack and loosing weight. Tried every single diet before and never had such a result!

What you said about the hot exercise makes sense. I hadn’t thought about it, but it didn’t seem wrong sweating more was burning more calories.
You’re spot on about getting help for depression. I was only able to lose weight after getting some anti depression meds.
I know it’s difficult for people to understand, but depression not only saps your motivation, it truly, physically makes you tired. I wish people could accept that they don’t understand everything.

This is so true. I tried every fad diet I heard of to try and loose weight “easily”. When I started counting calories and working out I lost 15lbs in 3 months. It actually seemed easy compared to all the stuff I tried that didn’t work.
I still hate working out- but when I watch Jillian rant about it - I’m strangely motivated. 😆

Carbs spike insulin which promotes fat storage and the type of foods you eat do matter for weight loss. Chronic, severe calorie restriction doesn't work for weight loss, long term. Check out Dr Jason Fung and Dr Berg for information about accurate intermittent fasting and LCHF for lasting, sustainable weight loss. 😊

Yea I was listening to people saying that you dont need to excercise but I only burn around 1600 calories... so eating 1700 calories only made me gain weight... slowly but surely... now I'm going to drop down to 1200-1400 and go back to my regular workout routine. I was doing this before and social media convinced me it was unhealthy. Can't wait to get my athletic body back. I learned to stop listening to social media "fitness influencers".

Jillian! I've been a big fan of your workouts and nutrition advice for years! Your 30 Day Shred DVD got me into the best shape of my life in my early 20s and I'm hoping that it will work for me again now that I'm in my early 30s. Thank you for posting basic information and helping people get fit and fuel their bodies. I must admit that sometimes my punches are aimed at you during the Shred when you're pushing me to go harder, but you deliver the best results. You're amazing!
