Buckwheat has a lower crop production rate as compared to wheat, so usually you’ll find them more expensive than regular noodles. At least, in the stores where I’m from

Soba is gluten free but most noodles have a percentage of flour mixed in as it makes processing easier.

What are Soba Noodles - Tyra's favourite type of NOODS!!! xD hahaha they are the best! Sadly most soba is made mostly with white wheat flour and very little buckwheat ;-; its very hard or expensive to find ones that are 100% buckwheat!

Almost all soba noodles aren't 100% buckwheat. I instead recommend making your own and it's quite easy

Can get 3lbs of soba (wheat/bucketwheat mix) here for the price of 1.5 lbs egg noodles. Theses two products have roughly the same macronutrients. Oddly enough, i prefer soba in the winter as a pack lunch so I don't have to microwave anything.
