Galaxy S10 Screen Timeout Keeps Changing to 30 Seconds... Solved!

Oh my god. This has been driving me crazy for MONTHS. I am mostly nocturnal so I tend to be using my phone at midnight so this would only happen every so often. I always thought it was to do with settings resetting to default after updates or restart.

Awesome thank you! On my S10e it is slightly different and the setting was hidden: The 3 dots are before entering the battery section > Advanced > Tap on "optmize settings" > disable the 30 option :)

Thank you so much. After an update it started this but for those who may have the one update, mine is actually in Device Care>three dots>Advanced>Optimized Settings. So thankful I finally came across this video! 👏👏👍

Main settings menu > Device Care > Sub Settings ( the 3 dots in upper right corner) > Advanced > Auto Optimization ( optimize the phone utomatically once a day) OFF, OFF, OFF, OFF, .

These instructions are already outdated thanks to a system update. Now you have to go to the 3 dots before you go to battery. Then go to advanced. Then turn off the option to reset the settings when the phone isn't being used. Also turn off the option to reset settings once a day.
