I'd much rather pay you all this money the University is getting because you actually teach. I learn more in a 10 min video than I do in an hour lecture. Thank you for your dedication to making such informative videos.

I was misdiagnosed with Graves disease and was at the point of thyroid removal and a lifetime of maintenance medication. Found an article by 2 MDs at the Texas Heart Institute entitled Misdiagnosis of Graves Disease Due to Aspartame Poisoning. I started reading labels and removed aspartame from my diet (it's in everything "diet") and symptoms completely disappeared within 60 days.

I’ve had Graves’ disease for ten years now and I’ve never had it explained to me this well. My weight goes up and down but only when I first had it did I lose a tremendous amount of weight. I’m still struggling with the hyperthyroidism. I’ve had a lot going on to slow down my treatment.

I have Graves, I was diagnosed with it when I was 17. I was extremely hyperthyroid (meaning my thyroid was working too fast).. on heart pills, throwing up everyday, severe anxiety, shakes and tremors, extreme weight loss, ect.. I had it all! I did many treatments of radioactive iodine to kill the thyroid hormones.. Lost a lot of my hair during the process. Finally after a couple years of treatments I'm no longer hyper, now I am hypothyroid (hypo. meaning too slow). However I am now 24 and I am still suffering, not as bad as once was, but I'm still not healthy. I just pray they can figure out the right amounts of medications to give me so I can live a "normal" life! A lot of people don't realise that your thyroid controls almost every part of your body.. even your brain! Its a serious thing.

There is no single video of yours, I have seen so far where I felt you did not do full justice. You are an excellent teacher, thank you for making your videos available for free on YouTube. Best Regards

This was really helpful to help me revise concisely, so thank you. I just wanted to mention that among the complications of Graves, you shouldn't forget to include thyroid storm, which is an important complication to keep in mind as it is life-threatening.

VERY VERY informative. I have a severe case of Graves Disease. I also just went thru a Thyroid Storm a couple weeks ago. I’m VERY lucky and blessed. Very few people make it thru and die. It was a horrible ordeal. My Endo told me I would not have survived had I waited a day or two before calling called the ambulance. I’m going to have a total thyroidectomy the middle of next month. I could use some positive vibes. I’m so scared. ♥️

I have Graves Disease and had been taking Tapazole and Beta blockers for more than a year. I had all these symptoms (CHF, elephantitis, bulging and swollen eyes, and tremors). I also have toxic multi-nodular goiter and distended jugular vein. My endocrinologist suggested surgery but my T4 has not reached normal level (10.000-20.000) and goes up to 30. down to 1.0 level. Thank you for the video it made me understand clearly what needs to be done medically.

I got diagnosed with graves disease today. I was so sick starting a month ago. Went to ER 3 times and finally they discovered I have hyperthyroidism due to graves disease. I have hair loss, nausea, diarrhea, hand and leg tremor, enlarged thyroid, clear watery eye discharge, headache, vomiting, weight loss, always hot, and heart rate of 120~125 along with irregular heartbeat. This is extremely hard on me and I'm suffering so badly. Starting my meds tomorrow.
