Paris' design is very memorable while Tokyo's is classic and looks solid. I may have been a bit partial to Tokyo's because it kinda has a nostalgic feel to it. Though I very much like the the source of both's materials. I distinctly remember that Tokyo mentioned that, in the spirit of sustainability, they used the gold recycled from old electronic devices to make the medals. While for Paris', the hexagon is from the excess metals from the Eiffel tower when the elevator is placed. Truly well thoughout planning by both countries!

I honestly thought the French medal was the coolest I’ve seen as it was so unique to the location with a slice of that Eiffel Tower.

Despite the slight variation in the cost to create those medals, I'll take the Paris Olympic Medals anyday simply because it looks cool.

The Paris medal has a nice design, very sleek. Tokyo is bulky and bold but as it should be...its an Olympic gold medal! 💪🏽
