This video is about a sad origin story of SCP-096 The Shy Guy.

SCP 096 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Shy Guy

SCP-096 is a humanoid creature measuring approximately 2.38 meters in height. When someone views SCP-096's face, whether it be directly, via video recording, or even a photograph, it will enter a stage of considerable emotional distress. SCP096 will cover its face with its hands and begin screaming, crying, and babbling incoherently. Approximately one (1) to two (2) minutes after the first viewing, SCP-096 will begin running to the person who viewed its face (who will from this point on be referred to as SCP-096-1).

Ever since the channel was started, I have been noticing progress in the video quality and animation, and I have noticed that the progress is speeding up. This video shows that, the animation was the best I think I've ever seen on this channel.

Meh. I like Dr. Bob's take on the story better. In that version, the climber was tortured for years on end, forced to endlessly climb the mountain and feel the slow, agonizing process of his body slowly changing the higher up he went, all while the king glares down at him, with the reason he lashes out at those who see his face being that he still sees and feels the eyes of the mountain king with every pair of eyes that glimpses him. Here, it's just sort of... Okay, you're a monster now, bye!

So 096 covers his face from trauma because he feels the gaze of ordinary people are the same as King of the Mountain. And each time anyone looks at him, he is reminded of his trauma but instead of despair he feels pure rage because he wants vengeance against the one who turned him into this monster. He has to kill anyone who looks at him because to him they're the same thing as SCP 1529. At least that's what I think is the reason he must kill them.

I still don't understand how the King on the mountain made his bones indestructible and gave him the power to sense when his face was seen. Honestly, it would make more sense if sarkics made 096.Orok is almost the exact same kind of monster as the shy guy, only he's not scared.
