Car Extended Warranty from Dealer -Do you need it? #shorts

You made a deal and find yourself in finance office where you are offered an extended warranty. In Mitsubishi where their selling feature is not of the longest warranties 3 years bumper to bumper, 5 years limited and 10 years powertrain they still tried to sell to me. Saying that GPS unit might break after year three and it would cost $4000 to repair.

I say not to those for a few reasons:
Usually the warranty they offer is a 3rd party warranty, that you can purchase direct
It’s rarely the best price
The warranty is still limited
Consumer reports did a research and figured out that payments for extended warranties are typically larger than you get back in coverage
I also think if GPS unit didn’t break in first three years, it probably won’t break
