anyone can learn blender interface, most important keyboard shortcuts and understand the 3d modeling basics with this 'car' tutorial. I've gone over 30 minutes every day last week, looked at video if I stuck on something, tried to make different low-poly vehicles each time; a bike or plane etc. Now I can create anything I want. Amazing tutorial. You are great at teaching, thanks a lot

U r a phenomenal teacher!!..the best thing about your workflow is you keep pointing out the possible mistakes a beginner might make and that is not easy for a pro like u to get into the shoes of a newbie.

Excellent start. I'm using this tutorial series to get my sister to learn Blender. Today is her first day. Wish me luck. :)

Thanks for the great tutorial. This is my second week using Blender, and this is very helpful. One note, though: At around 7:15, you say "Press S then X", but you are actually pressing "E then, X". Hopefully, this helps those who, like myself, get tripped up on it.

I found the zoom (mouse wheel forward), has a finite level. As with holding shift and middle mouse button to strafe, you may also hold control and middle mouse to go forwards and backwards in the same fashion. (by moving mouse forwards and backwards not scrolling). Hope this helps someone :) Thanks Grant.

better to change to left click in file/ user prefrences / input. I mean i use other programs, and switching all the time is counterintuitive. just a thought. love your vids. Id say im intermidate with gimp now, but never hurts to come back to some more basic tutorials, see what i missed, and of course theres differint workflows to learn.

What version of blender is this? I'm trying to figure out a couple things to edit a model but any of the guides I find on the internet are of an older version of blender where literally everything is completely different and of no help. It's quite frustrating.

Edit: Nvm, I looked at the date of this video and used it to find the corresponding release. Hopefully I can figure this out now. lol

Hi Grant, I'm trying to learn Blender 2.8 coming from Fusion 360, it seems the problem I'm having is it doesn't having the same setting as most of the videos I see. Things like I've seen in some of your videos such as the wire frame around an object after adding a sub-surf, I'd also be doing mostly modeling for 3D printing and need to know exact measurements. I really enjoy your videos and hope you can help weather it be a link to a vid you've already done or a tip to find what I'm looking for. Thanks and keep up the great work!
