I Solved FNAF's Biggest Mystery (Survival Logbook)

I Solved FNAF's Biggest Mystery from the Survival Logbook - the Crying Child's NAME.... I think at least! 6 years ago the "FNAF: Survival Logbook" released, which included the names for Cassidy (Golden Freddy) hidden in a Word Search and the Crying Child hidden in the infamous Foxy Grid - whose name has unfortunately been missing for 9 years. However, I think today I have an answer for you. That's right, today I'm taking a deep dive back into the Logbook and seeing what I can pull back out... what I found might be HUGE.

Disclaimer: This is a theory - I believe in it heavily but don't want to say it's "100% confirmed!" just in case. So please watch and you can decide whether it's convincing enough for you or not after! :)

This is a big one... so SUBSCRIBE and SHARE this around so more people can learn about this! EDIT: This is a Game Theory, FuhNaff, ID's Fantasy, and RyeToast APPROVED THEORY LET'S GOOOO! :)))

also okay y'all I agree, I deserve to be bullied for that pronunciation of alias... it was late in the night when I recorded this okay LEAVE ME ALONE

Also even though it's not a big point in this video or anything, yes I realized after this that Charlie's death happens at Fredbear's so the "everything went wrong" is likely that, however I still theorise the bite happened there since it's a parallel timeline so the bite MAY still carry over anyways, as I think the "timeline splitting moment" was Henry deciding to recreate Charlie as a robot, which he doesn't do in the games - that being what turns it into a new timeline. Just my 2 cents on that though and sorry for the mistake! :P

---

it's only been a single hour but thank you all for the kind comments, I really appreciate it and will get around to replying in the morning! But also massive thank you to everyone who DISAGREES actually being nice and constructive about it instead of just being rude haha - that was the one thing I was worried about so :') Hope you all enjoy and I'll see you soon! :D

david and michael, both biblical names, sounds like something scott would do

This makes so much sense. Dave/David also mirrors Mike/Michael so well from a parent’s naming logic.

It kinda fits, "Michael, David and Elizabeth" it sounds perfect together

I love how he went on a whole like 1 minute segment about EVAD when I looked at it and just said "oh, dave. nice"

Allow me to go fully weird with it for a sec:

William - "Strong-willed", literally a man whose will to live is so strong he's immortal.

Michael - "God is unparalleled/ *who resembles God?* (Retorical question)", a man who looks *'just like his father'* .

David - "Beloved", the son William watched the closest, who he promised to put back together. Whose death was the impetus to his descent into madness.

Elizabeth - "My God is an oath.", the daughter who broke an oath to her father and died for it, and attempts to reclaim her loyalty even in the afterlife.

Both dual process theory and this one has been making me go “Maybe the entire community should take a step back, forget everything we think we know, and solve everything again from the ground up one game at a time and see what we come up with <3

Makes sense. Neither Evan nor Garret are British names. Dave on the other hand- Yeah, I hear it everywhere. Every other guy is named Dave here. Why would William name his kid anything other than a British name?

This makes so much sense! I love how it’d be reversed because of the mirror!

All we need is Scott to comment on a single video with, "you're right"

I’d say Dave is a lot more compelling of an answer than Evan for his name especially because of existence of the name in the franchise apart from the puzzle

This theory is made even stronger by the fact that the "reflection" passages seem to line up with at least two questions that Cassidy asked. Reflect on your happiest day - the party was for you. Reflect on your dreams - do you still have dreams. One also asked about imaginary friends, could be linked to seeing/hearing?

Dave actually makes sense, considering afton family members names
They got pretty formal names

William
Micheal
Elizabeth
And now David

I think that would make sense

(Edit: wow I don't have as many subscribers as I have likes on this comment 😂)

i knew it! astralspiff was the crying child all along

A possible meta reason for why he used 39 in the first place, might be because that’s the crying child’s age now - scratching tally marks like the stereotypical prisoner, especially given how important ‘birthdays’ are to the character. This book was published in 2017, which minus 39 gives you 1978, the bite was in 1983, making him five years old (which feels about right).

Honestly, this makes perfect sense! The Afton kids being David, Michael and Elizabeth (super common names especially in the late 70's) works so well.

Dave/David Afton being the Crying Child's name is probably the most satisfying answer we can get, so that'll be part of my personal headcanon now
