A friend had 2 pedigree German rotties, both from a great bloodline and stable.
They both had the 5 traits.
For example, they would sit in another room and watch you. Silently..any times I caught them and they look away. But I gained their trust. They are a beautiful and smart breed. Love them and their growls when you belly rub them after they lay rheir fat heads on your lap for one.❤

I own a German Rottweiler. She's a thick powerful girl but very very laid back. She is excellent with children!! Also German Rottweilers usually have their tails.

Be always loyal to your dog. Rottweilers are wonderful but you have to be the right type of human to lead them. I have my third one. All adopted. For the first time, I have a female Rotti. She was abused in Rumania (hell for every dog). But she is really friendly. She is still afraid, when someone tries to touch her. She came to germany as a skeletten in Nov. 2022. Now, with good food, fish oil and trust, she became a wonderful Rotti-girl.

My (Benjamin) was a full blooded male German Rottweiler, and he very much was a dominant (very aggressive) dual personality dog (I trained him in Schutzhund [I think that it is now called "Internationale Gebrauchshund Purefung"]), but this is in my opinion not the dog that you just want to raise and not train. In my opinion, it is a very good thing to know what triggers your special member of the family and how to lovingly and consistently control him in all circumstances. You really do not want any surprises with these very-very strong dogs, and finding out in the heat of a situation is the worst time for a life changing surprise. I am very biased, admittedly, and I very much love this breed. With consistent loving training, Rottweilers make wonderful additions to the family. Mine was very much like my child... a very strong child, no doubt.

Talking to several.breeders, and Vets they say that the difference is one born in the US, the other born in Germany. Size is heritage. As is temperament, training, what there job is how & what they are fed.

Take anything from an other country to the US and then just call it _"American"_

Misleading. There is no such thing as American Rottweiler or German Rottweiler. There is only the ADRK Standard Rottweiler. Americans love tagging themselves in things they did not create. Geographically, American Rottweilers are just ruined Rottweilers that have no Standard, that's why they don't have a consistent type.

There is no American Canadian Belgian Rottweiler. Rottweiler is only 1 ..the name comes from the town of rottweil in Germany ..so stop stealing electricity.

I had a American rottie with German rottie temperament, the result was a 150lbs plus size dog that had the attitude of a chihuahua. Best dog ever

Ja Rottweiler sind die besten und liebsten Hunde die es gibt. Sie haben Stolz sind treu. Ich selbst hatte Rottweiler ausgebildet und es ist nie etwas passiert. Sie wurden als Schutzhunde ausgebildet. Meinen und auch fremden Kindern haben sie nie was getan. Im Gegenteil sie sind sehr liebesbedürftig😂. Ich bin mittlerweile krank und kann keinen Hund mehr halten sonst hätte ich Immer noch welche. Ich liebe sie ❤❤❤. Sie sind treuer als alles anderes. Geht gut um mit euren Hunden und erzieht sie. Zeigt der Welt wie toll sie sind.
