German rottweiler vs American rottweiler

First Rott is an male Imported rottweiler from Germany
the Second one is a Female Rottweiler from Georgia U.S.

beautiful, I love this breed. My first was REXX. I had my dear dog fifteen years, before having to put him down. His hine legs weren't the same. And he was relieving himself on himself. It hurt to let him go, but he wasn't happy anymore. This breed is very special.

German rottweilers: Darker in color where their markings are around the face, chest, paws etc... They are a tiny bit shorter in height on average. Also their heads are blockier and they have a shorter snout and also tend to have a wider head than American rotties.

American rottweilers: Lighter markings in face, chest, paws, etc... Their usually a bit taller, Their heads are just a tiny bit more narrow and their snout is longer. THATS THE DIFFERENCES SO NOW U KNOW

The one with the darker brown [this varies with dogs] and the squarer head was the German rottie. They're usually larger and more muscular as well. Hope that helps, friend. :3

I have a American Rottweiler who was blind when I first got her but her eye sight came back and now she is the most big lovely dog who is super happy

Rottweiler were "invented" in a German city named "Rottweil" in the 19th century, like it or not... So yeah, they have been, are and ALWAYS will be a pure german breed, also know as "Rottweiler Metzgerhund" translated into butcher's dog. I have a german one myself, he is very massive with more resemblance to a blood-hound and very close to the original dog from the 19th century.

The American Rottweiler in this video has striking similarities to my Rottie-German Shepherd mix. Both have a longer snout and slimmer head, but most of all, they're both EXTREMELY CUTE!

Unless that dog is about 15 years old, neither one were imported from Germany unless they were in an accident that required amputation of the tail because tail docking is PROHIBITED in Germany and Europe and has been since the late 1990's.  If you truly want to know the difference between German or American Rottweilers, google "Guardian Rottweilers"
