This is just what I have told people over the years. Start with Matthew Mark Luke John and continue through the entire New Testament finishing with revelations. At that point go back to the very beginning with Genesis and read the entire Bible straight through. Definitely need to use a study Bible. The study Bible will give you information below for each chapter that you read to explain what’s happening. Get some thing contemporary, don’t go to old school or it is even more difficult to understand. God bless you all!

I was way to prideful to read a translation I could mentally comprehend. Once I over came that conviction, I picked up the GOOD NEWS BIBLE TODAY'S ENGLISH VERSION with apocrypha. Now. I want to learn more and am reading geneva and 1611 kjv. Amazing how reading is better than tv.😊😊😊

if you start reading the new covenant first it is like if you go to see a movie and you only see the end of the movie. so if you want to truly understand the Bible you have to start at the beginning not at the end.

What’s the best translations of the bible? I currently try KJV but when I don’t understand I use AMP and NLT. I find NLT very easy to understand but unsure why sometimes it seems quite different from KJV
