Just what I needed today. 31 years old and trying to get sub 5 in the mile after taking 6 years off from running. I've been doing the short and fast stuff like you said you did in high school... I think I'll rethink that and up my milage. Thanks!

Really excellent video. I am in college and just ran a 4:26 i was dissatisfied with. I think i eased up in the third lap like you said. Solid training talk.

I feel pathetic 😂, my fastest time in the mile is 5:36.. I thought I was okay. I really feel pathetic, but I'm gonna be training.

Trying to run a 1.5 mile in 10:34 at 5'8" 210 lbs. A real runner's body I know. Currently at 11:26. 7:22 mile.

I went from running 50 miles a week on my off season to 15 miles a week in track. And the workouts are so painfull lol.

I'm heading into my sophomore year of HS and my mile time is 5:09, my 2 mile is 11:48. What should I do to get my mile time under 5:00?? And how could I get my 2 mile a lot faster?.

Last year track I ran 2:04 800, 10:16 3200, but only a 4:47 1600.. Me and my coaches were very confused by this 😂

Ahhh... the 1000m repeats, those are my favorite. But 800m repeats are a close 2nd.
