I have 9 months left of my 5 year plan in GA to pay 100% off like 70k. I didnt qualify for ch 7 because i was newly married and they combined me and my ex wifes income. I was paying 1050 a month. A few years later i got divorced and the lawyer said i still made too much for ch 7 but they were able to make my payment 950. The cut off was 53k and he estimated id make 54k. I think i made barely 50k that year. I feel like my lawyer and the trustee scratch each others back cause she gets a little piece of each payment i make. When trying to find another lawyer to see if i can convert to ch7, they all said they couldn't talk to me cause i have a lawyer already. It can be hard, but glad im on the tail end of it. It was my only way out of debt. I wouldnt care if i never have another credit card after im free.

I sent my last payment off today, I would never ever do this again, The attorney got his money first thing, the trustee gets a payment each month, the total never didn't match what i had down each month, I ended up 1203.00 in the bankruptcy, then had to send 2905.00 more on top?? I finally had a fight with the secretary, I met the attorney one hour in 5 years, she never could answer most of the questions and I was tossed back and forth from one to the other. I have now totaled over $80, 000. I'm waiting to see if or what I get for a refund. I'll wait for hell to freeze over. Nightmare!
