Having worked for some good companies, I can tell we've had quite a number of women get jobs and then go on extended maternity leave in six months.

I have not seen a single man do that.

While it's illegal in the US to ask such questions... but I can understand the employer's side. I worked in a mega large corporation which hired a woman, and she got pregnant, before she even passed probation. Once she had her first child, and when on extended family leave... and when it was about the end, guess what... she was pregnant again. She basically showed up for three months of work, and went on leave for 2.5 years before she came back.

These mature women should focus on being a women and not a man. Focus on getting a man, so they don't need to worry about money. It is a man's job to be the income earner.

Companies MUST give job to man FIRST.

-they are the ones raising the family
-they need bribe money
-they need house

Here in the USA, my immediate supervisor took off 6 months for maternity leave (I have to do my job and “cover” for her). She came back and on the 2nd day, gave 2 weeks notice. She spend those 2 weeks making sure she used up all of the company’s benefits.

the issue is women someone place too much importance in work. Those companies reactions are actually good. Why make it easy for women to work so they can work their early years away, increase their dating standards because they are successful then be unable to have kids after they are late 30s/early 40s?

women are fighting for their rights but employers are also defending their benefits. there is no correct answer in this question no matter how many women group up and complain about it. practically speaking, employers got the money(power) so the probability of them giving in is close to zero, women either accept it or turn their disadvantage into advantage by looking for a good man with their remaining dwindling last drop of youth instead of wasting time fighting in a sure lose battle. if women can win or get any benefits in fighting this war with those employers then i would encourage them to do it, if not then go do something else that are more beneficial is a smarter choice.

That’s the correct move. If economy is retracting the men need the jobs to take care of family’s you can’t have women working so some people double dip while others don’t have any income. Plus for those single women without kids it will encourage them to marry and have kids which is what a good state wants and needs during a birth shortage. Good policy

NOBODY should be paid, for work that they DIDN'T DO.
Male or female. If you are not there putting in the hours, you should be sacked.
If you want to leave work to have a baby, fine, goodbye, maybe we will re-hire you when you can work again...
