Tracking the Tropics: Tropical Storm Milton expected to become Cat 3 hurricane

Meteorologist Colleen Campbell is providing the latest on forecasted impacts for the Tampa Bay region.

Hi Colleen, yes TS Milton, that baby is basically stalling at 3 mph at this time still sitting on the bay of Campeche, which is located about 1000 miles away from the west coast of Florida. something which according to the experts in the field is a sign that the storm is trying to organize itself, gaining strength, and loading itself with more juice (water) before its long road ahead to make landfall somewhere in central or south Florida by mid next week. My best advise to everyone living on the area from the big bend all the way down to Miami is to get into prep mode right away for a storm or a cat 1-3 or even stronger hurircane hitting their area within the next few days, I love the way you do the weather forecast, good job beautiful girl, rgs

One thing Ive ealized lately is that the storm is ALWAYS stronger once it make landfall than what the the models tell you, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this gets cat 4 or 5!! Z
