I presently have ten Yema watches in the collection covering the chronographs (both mechanical and quartz), yacht timers (both mechanical and quartz) and dive watches. I also have a couple of vintage Yemas. I have not had a problem with any of my Yemas, and anytime I have had questions, the Yema staff have been instantly attentive. I have found the chat feature on the web site to be particularly useful. Maybe I'm just lucky and maybe because I don't the wear the same watch daily I haven't experienced any of these issues. However, I thought I would weigh in on the discussion since I've so far only had good experiences with my Yemas.

Never had an issue with any yema’s watches however I’m not discounting anything other people report I would say take the chance. I didn’t even have any problems with the quartz Superman heritage which I payed around 416 dollars for.

I had a watch that they could simply not fix. It could not keep time on wrist. I sent it back 3 times. The last time they gave me the option of a full refund. And even followed up with me afterwards to make sure that I received the refund. The fact that they couldn't fix the watch was obviously concerning but I must say that their customer service communication, regardless of who I spoke to, was top notch.

Have had the Flygraf pilot M1 for several months now. I have nothing but good things to say about the watch AND the shipping process (4 days from France to NYC), under $700. I am sorry for those who've had QC issues with their watches, I hope the company gets it sorted.

Thank you for a timely video. Yema was on my short list, but it looks like I'll be waiting for their issues to clear up.

I am throwing an explanation based in my observations:

The caliber 2000/3000 made by Yema is an variant of an ETA clone made with chinese made components, final assembly is either made by Yema or directly at China by the chinese factory that suply the movement parts.

I recently I have worked on an chinese ETA clone and have observed certain peculiarities in the parts that are 100% matching Yema 2000/3000 parts:
- first of all: all the components are from an 2824 clone, layout in the movement side only has been mirrored over ETA layout. I pressume the intention here was to make room for a intermediate crown wheel with matching teeth to the ratchet wheel. End of the design differences over a 2824, the rest of the changes are just consequences of this decission.
- movement plates finishing fully matching to the chinese clone.
- screws exact same with the chinese clone.
- regulator arms very thin metal plate, same 100% chinese clone.
- underside of reverser wheel almost closed in both. 100% chinese clone.
- hour wheel pinion made of brass... first time I have seen this in a movement, this is a bad choice as it compromises durability. 100% the same in both.

Granted one thing: both the chinese clone and the yema are good timegrapher performers, however, each component is subpar and of sensibly lower qualty than original ETA parts.

I have a rallygraf and a navygraf, both have been perfect so far *knock on wood* sucks to see a lot of QC issues as I am a huge Yema fan.

Thank you Time Teller for the heads up on the Yema QC issue and for the honesty in your reviews.I was watching this Yema Led steel version for a while just not ready to pull the trigger, now with this new info I will hold for a while longer to see if Yema cleans up its QC issues. Thanks again for your valuable insight in this issue.

Lol the French haven't ever made anything well. Old Yemas were in my grandfather's watch shop in Manhattan never picked up.

I have that same Yema digital watch and it’s been great. Hopefully they do a review of their QC and take peoples experience into account.

I recently bought a Navygraf Heritage and absolutely love it. Service was great and want to buy the Yema Superman 500 metre next.

I bought a limited edition (No 357) Superman Bronze, Blue dial 39mm x 11mm GMT with 300m water resistance. The brand new in house Yema 3000 movement was operating @ +1 second & 0.0 beat error .
The watch was attractive, had a nice consistent finish, good lume & was very comfortable. I enjoyed the watch immensely & never had any problems at all. Although having a19mm lug width, it was a real strap monster.
I flipped the watch simply because I decided that bronze while attractive & "trendy", was not the best material for a dive GMT that I expected to take a beating. The buyer is also very happy with the watch & has not informed me of any problems.
I replaced the Yema bronze with a Chris Ward C63 GMT which I just adore.

I like Yema as a brand, also Never had any problems with them.
My Armee de‘l Air with yema inhouse caliber is running great, and the yemas with the sw200 movement are also very reliable.

I have had the Flygraph twice. The first I sent in to have some damage repaired that I caused. Customer service was great and everything went fast and smooth. I sold that and bought a second for the bracelet and new movement. Everything with that one is running fine.
I would say the only downside is I feel like they could regulate their movements a bit better.

Around 2019, I bought a Navygraf. When the watch arrived, I immediately noticed that the crown was bent in a miserable way and the bezel was misaligned as well... I sent it back the same day, and requested an exchange. I was denied an exchange, as upon their inspection, I supposedly had scratched the bracelet and case back (how do you scratch a case back???). I had not worn the watch for even a second.
Anyway, they told me they'd repair the crown and send it back to me.
After about three weeks, the watch was back in my hands. Fixed was only the bezel misalignment and the crown was left untouched...
I had to send it back yet a second time, and three weeks later I finally received a fully functional watch.
I sold it as fast as I possibly could. Never again I swore to myself, but then I saw the Marine Nationale edition and now I am hesitant on getting one...

I have the LED model on the way. Not too worried about it, the LED module is fairly simple. Duffs can happen with any manufactured items.

Purchased a Yema Navygraf a year ago and I have sent it back to Yema twice due to it's inaccuracy, running +25-35 seconds per day. After the first repair there was no change in it's performance and after the second repair it came back running +15-20 seconds per day. Within a few months after the last repair the hacking stopped working and it has started to run greater than +20 a day. Now, it has the correct time twice a day sitting on a shelf in my closet.
