Yes and.... some men experience much more shame than just the "don't look weak" thing. Some of us have experienced traumatic body shaming. Some of us had narcissistic parents who instilled shame in us about, well, everything. Compassion Compassion Compassion Compassion Compassion

I love her, she is so inspiring. Especially i liked the part when she speaks about a man and a woman having done their work and in hard moments allowing their partner to be vulnerable and express their true feelings. It's vital for healthy dynamics in relationships.

I used to think being vulnerable was scary and I still do. But these days now working in the corporate offices, being simply authentic is brave. What I mean by authentic is showing your real self and not always performing.

It’s really hurtful to put yourself out there! And sometimes is not worth it at all! It’s just shaming and pointing fingers at you. It’s hard to behave yourself at this situations. It’s devastating to be hurt all the time than sometimes you wish you can’t feel a thing!

Listening to this has made me laugh, cry but I’m very much inspired and encouraged to continue down my road of living life vulnerable in all of its discomfort

Vulnerability is what it means to be human. We are taught not to be vulnerable bc that's a sign of weakness. But no, it turns out that to be unafraid of vulnerability is actually our greatest strength. Thank you Brene'! 💪💕

@Rene Brown merci merci merci. Your message is heard. I am learning so much even now at 57 and it feels great. Is it what life is about?! I am giving a link to my children so they can hear this and use it at the beginning of their adult journey. We talked and still do but your words resonnate so well in my heart and soul. You are a great teacher, master of vulnerability 💜

She is a goddess of knowledge for me. I go around actively searching for her words on YouTube as I believe everyone should listen to her research and Ted talk once
