“Have enough guts to just set the reins down” - another PP classic gift of wisdom for living! Thanks again, Pat and Deb!

I enjoy your videos. Living in Texas now but originally from Ca! Its so nice to see the mountains back home every day! My husband and I both have had horses our entire life but both from different backgrounds. My father raised Quarter horses and paints and my husband grew up working feedlots and cattle ranches where a horse is a tool. We have always combined our different styles to put out a well rounded horse! We both like your style a great deal. Keep up the good work!

An outstanding specimen, with a plain name, and fortunate to be under your tutelage. Amazing how the average rider cannot read the body language of a horse. Thank you for the in-depth study made available to the general public.

I love that you tailor your training to the best of the horse. It’s not the same treatment for every horse. Unfortunately, that is very common.

Great video! I really look forward to seeing Pat work him out in the desert, and seeing how Pat shuts him down if the horse starts getting worried

Excellent video: allows the horse to make a mistake, then corrects and relaxes. The Arabian horse has been bred with these go-ahead tendencies for many centuries. We bred the Straight Egyptian many years. With the right training. they will do anything that is asked of them. I just wished that Mr. Pat Puckett would have been close at hand when i started with these horses. However, at 87 yrs., i look back at my victories with the babies knowing that they are working their way into someone`s heart while telling folks to search-out Pat`s videos for a good head start with their riding and training.

So many learning nuggets in this video. Been looking for a distance horse and he sure fits the bill. But dang it i still live on the wrong coast. Sure lookng forward to watching his changes. All the best in 2025 to you both.

Really like the looks of this horse! He looks like a cool old school App though he has some odd legs and hooves though his face is so cute!
They are giving really good advice here....too many people have a choke hold on their horses and then wonder why the horse is so hot and worked up.
This horse is also releasing a lot of tension almost this whole session...because the rider is relaxed and breathing right as he says....so cool to see.
My suggestion for folks afraid to put the reins down..put the reins down and if the horse really wants to move just turn them in a pretty tight circle...best way to handle really forward horses, if what Pat shows you doesn't work.

Thank you so much for the clear words! My horse has such a great foreward and I stopped to take care of the slow riders in the group...so my horse and me we feel so much better and enyoy the go❤ yes because of that we are mostly on the head of the groupe but I can also change the position for some time because my horse ist relaxed❤
