YouTube Monetization Update... GREAT NEWS!

A YouTube monetization update at the end of 2022 caused many videos to get demonetized. Well, YouTube have tweaked the update and it's good news for all!

What YouTube needs to fix next is the copyright issues. I don’t understand how you go over to YouTube’s library, pick a song, upload it and bam…copyright….or copyrights in YouTube shorts picking through the music YouTube allows you to use 🤦‍♀️ how is it that we get the copyright strikes when YouTube is telling us we are able to use the sounds? It’s so frustrating

I wanted to know if anyone else in the community has experienced a notification of invalid traffic? Got this back in late January, and my estimated monetized playbacks have dropped by 70% since, it's crushing my revenue.

I've had no weird spikes in views, almost all traffic is from browse and suggested, so I know this is an error. But no one I talk to can help me. Very frustrating.

This is good news for some, but ALOT of creators feel that YT needs to make a SPECIFIC video about REUSED CONTENT and tell creators WHAT videos should be deleted or updated to be eligible for monetization again. This has become a very controversial topic with small creators who are on the rise with very good channels. Also, there is a lot of confusion because there are bigger channels who ARE monetized and are doing the things that smaller channels are getting demonetized for. THE BIGGER CHANNELS ARE THE MODELS FOR THESE SMALLER CHANNELS! There is a HUGE amount of creators that have very demeaning opinions on this that have been demonetized and have updated their channels and STILL have not been remonetized!

Hay vidiq I have a problem With my channel monetization. So I just got monetized on my YouTube channel through YouTube shorts and after 30 Days of being monetized YouTube demonetized my channel due to repetitive content and my channel has zero copyright strike or claim. And I saw that in the copyright section on my laptop over 200 of my video was stolen by other channels do you think that is the reason I got demonetized?.

I've been very frustrated since the update, I create close mouth ASMR satisfying food eating videos, in 2 years only 2-3 of my videos were, given a yellow icon, after apealing they turned green, but since the update I'm seeing several a week, both on long form & short, when I appeal & told no I cannot have a green icon, the reason they are giving is my video has sexual behaviour!!

ASMR food eating is extremely popular, but it seems to me YouTube does not entirely understand the nature of the various ASMR content on the platform.
My content in particular help people with stress, anxiety, sleep & just plain old satisfying to watch. Never in my comments have I seen someone claim I am being sexual. So I do hope they improve on this because the ASMR community is being affected by this recent update, not just the food eating ASMR content creators, ASMR in general.
