Good business is the job of good design. This talk will explore what it means to truly lead by design, and why it's important for designers to stretch beyond the boundaries of traditional roles. When you consider the number of publicly traded companies making decisions for consumers around the world—to think that nobody sitting in those boardrooms is thinking about user experience is absurd. Driving empathy and finding solutions is design’s super power, and it’s not enough to simply have a seat at the table; it’s design’s job to bring something new to it.

On a more serious note, I have a question: Steve, do you think that Design from earlier decades, like the examples you showed, maybe used aspects that slowed down or made them less usable exactly because the performance wasn't that good either? Like some kind of makeup for poor performance? Just something that came up while you were speaking.

Why is it an old school design framework? Its a framework that will stand the test of time. All that will happen is add to that framework.

😅😅😅 from that position you can speak it and advice it. But when you ask your junior designer to design something quickly and he/she ask you about the details about the business behind this I think he/she must be open to work from next day. However, very important and nice talk. But we all really love to practice hypocrisy. 😊😊😊
