“Come and believe, and when you believe you’ll know that you are elect” those are very comforting words. God bless.

When my eyes were opened to this and I became a reformed believer it did humble me greatly hugely and still does

Just a reminder to anyone who thinks this is unfair: if God were to send the entire human race to hell, he would be completely justified. No one is good (Romans 3:23).
Salvation is an *undeserved* GIFT, not something we get to demand from God.
What's unfair is Jesus dying on the cross for our sins.
May this ever humble us instead of fill us with smugness because God doesn't fit into our preconceived, human notions of "fairness".

The Lord has made everything for its own purpose, Even the wicked for the day of evil.

By listening to this and knowing about this, If you follow the logical nature of that doctrine, then you have to answer simply: Yes. God did chose to "create people for destruction" as Calvin himself wrote.

Ironically, the Bible defines "love" completely different from this doctrine. The Spirit mourns everytime a man from within thr body speaks things contrary to the gospel spoken. Just because men from a known and popular ministry promote such philosophies, it does not mean it is faithful to Christ's teachings.

May God deliver us from such foreign ideas.

The scriptures are clear that God has not willed it that any should perish . . . however, because of sin we are condemned already and must believe or perish.

I like the sentence at the end when he said that if you're wondering if you're elect then simply come and believe - then you WILL know that you are on of the elect. John 6 v 37 backs up what he said.

The infralapsarian or true Calvinist position is not that God decreed directly to damn souls in eternity past, but that he simply passes them by, and they perish by their own guilt. John Aecolampadius said: Salvation is all of God's Grace, Perdition is by our own hand.

The scriptures do not say that anyone is predestined to hell. Even those that are raised up for God's purpose that become evil can turn and receive not being cast out. Not all will sit with Jesus but all can be saved. ( Jn 6:37 )
And also when you read that God is
not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, you should see this. Just because there is a hell and some are bent on hating God doesn't mean that God predestined them to hell. God predestined hell as a place of existence for those that fully reject him. Men have a will and they make a choice. God knows the end of each and everyone, so knowing, he is the judge by his Glorious Son Yeshua Jesus.

"Be ye predestined this day whom you will for me and my house, we are predestined to serve the Lord."
~ Calvinist Joshua 24:15

"For God so loved the elect that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever was elect would not perish but have everlasting life."
~ Calvinist John 3:16

"Oh Jerusalem, I would have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not predestined!"
~ Calvinist Jesus, (Mat 23:37)

God doesnt predestined people to hell, but He know who going to reject HIM by free will because He knows the beginning and the end of the soul. John 3:16 desire is everyone to be saved. Its just you determined to hell because you are going to reject Him anyway in the future.

Romans 9:16, 18
It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.

Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.

Romans 8:29
For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Not only is it a disturbing doctrine it is a false doctrine. It is a doctrine that the Calvinist cannot explain themselves.

God does not predestine anyone to go to hell. Stop teaching this false doctrine. God wants all men to be saved.

God is absolutely sovereign in salvation as well as reprobation. A thorough and Biblical treatment is given by Arthur Pink in his book - "The Sovereignty of God".

It boggles the mind that any rational person could possibly accept this senseless doctrine. It's irrelevant how some will interpret scripture. The stupidity of this notion should immediately tell people that this is not what scripture means. If there are those who are not elected who will go to hell no matter what they do or believe throughout their life, this would make God a diabolical psychopath. What's the point to life if the way to earn everlasting salvation has zero to do with how we live our life but instead to the luck of being elected? I sometimes think all these people who say they believe this must either be high on some brainwashing drug or they are just part of a conspiracy to play a practical joke on the world. There's no way an intelligent human being could give credence to this. Can someone tell me how this is possible?
