Tongues is still in operation. After I got baptised I did not speak in tongues and I was frustrated but later gave up on it. Then one day while I was praising God in church my tongues began to change and speak in another language, I know that know it is real.

Amen 🙏 needed to hear this. Too many swindlers abusing and claiming these gifts when there is no evidence. Just take God at his word, pray, and go to church and follow him. There is no spiritual gifts that people have now. We have the whole word of God.

Cessationism is wickedness, I have a brother in Christ who was paralyzed and was healed, and my own mother was healed from asthma by the laying on of hands which she had had her whole life and never had again afterwards, and for the record no I am not a charismatic by any means i just believe the gifts are just as prevalent today. That is not to say that a majority of those professing to have gifts aren't wolves, we must test everything, but denying the power and operation of the Spirit is blasphemous.

Not because I am qualified by my own standards of Moral uprightness but because Christ Has redeemed me and made it possible for me to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
I do not deny the fact that there ARE FALSE PROPHETS AND TEACHERS WHO HAVE GONE OUT IN THE WORLD AND ARE LEADING PEOPLE ASTRAY, BUYT IT DOESN'T AND SHAOULD'NT IMPLY, That there are no true worshipers who worship in Spirit and Truth.
The Holy Spirit is a promise to all that Believe in Christ And Are Called the Children of God(All you need to do is to believe it, desire and ask of Him, and He will give you the Holy Spirit: ‎Luke 11:13).
He Does not only com to give us prophesy and tongues, He Does more than that. The most important role of the Holy Spirit to A Christian, I believe is in John 16:13, And as He does this, all that we receive as gifts from The Holy Sprit reflects John 16:13
The Gifts by the Holy Spirit to The Church have not ceased, God has made it possible for healing, prophesy and All the Apostolic gifts are still Available today, if we say that they are not in operative then we deny the fact that the works of God Are eternal.

So is costi a full-blown cessationist like Peters? I thought he just believed in the cessation of the apostles and was anti-hypercarsmatic.

I have heard Justin Peters and I generally agree with him.. however in this instance.. to say that tongues and prophecy have ceased makes no correlation to the reality around the world.. what then of the sincere spirit filled word based speaking in a tongue.. as communication with their Father.. speaking mysteries and the groanings of the spirit? Are they all "babbling nonsensical and learned behaviour"? As one of those people.. I tend not to agree.. 1Corinthians says.. be cautious not to despise the gifts.. also the greatest of all these is love..and if you have tongues.. prophecy etc.. they all fail(cease) if you don't have love..
They will cease literally when perfect comes.. are we perfect or is Christ?..when Christ returns so does perfection..and these gifts will then cease... Until then.. let us not fight over this.. let us come together..those who were healing and people complained to Jesus.. He said to them whoever is not against us is for us..
That said.. I have no issues calling out prosperity gospels.. and true heresy..
However I certainly do not think this is one of them.. actually it is contrary to that 🙏🙏💞
