In Islam, each person is responsible for their own actions and relationship with Allah. The actions or decisions of your father, such as leaving when you were an infant, do not determine your eligibility for Jannah (Paradise). What matters is your own faith, good deeds, and adherence to Islamic teachings. The Quran states, "No bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another" (Quran 6:164). Therefore, focus on nurturing your relationship with Allah, performing good deeds, and seeking His mercy and forgiveness. Allah is the Most Merciful and knows best the state of our hearts and actions.

I was never close to my dad, when I was 16, I felt jealous seeing my friend walking hand in hand with her dad so I thought, ‘Maybe we’re going to be closer when I reach adulthood’, age 18 I moved into uni and drifted apart more with him, then when I’m 19, he’s no longer by my side. I guess I took him for granted. Had to deal with anxiety for years and one step away from being depressed until my therapist said ‘Your dad must be proud of you.’ - This made me cried my heart out, I was so thankful she said something that I really want to hear after so long. And alhamdulillah for the guidance from Allah, now I just living my life with full of hope to meet my dad and all of my family in jannah, insha’Allah.

My mother hated me and was extremely jealous of me and my father and stepmother took me from her when I was 12. I never stopped loving her, but knew she had her own demons she was facing. My stepmother showed me love from a woman.
