Just want to point out that this applies to the women as well. Women who complain a lot, do not take care of themselves, consumed by social media, bad attitude, no goals, etc., etc. are also... unpalatable.

Constant complaining and too much alcohol by women is a huge non-starter for men. Those 2 alone will cause men to recoil and repulse.

I agree with most of these. But regarding "Bad attitude and manners". It seems like "bad boy" is preferable over "gentleman" if you ask many women. When I say "bad boy" I don't mean "asshole", "douchebag" etc., and when I say "gentleman" I don't mean "nice guy", "simp", "doormat" etc.

The economics of relationship is really very expensive. As a frugal person, it is difficult to reconcile with that fact.

One thing I see ugly is when people think they’re better than everyone else. Especially, leaders or when they’ve achieved something.

I get told I'm very ugly/undateable, because I'm an Asian male. Something I can't control, but I continue to move forward anyways. Hopefully I can move out of Seattle soon

The passion and goals only really applies if the passions and goals are also attractive. If your goals are to live a normal life in a not so big house living an average lifestyle while collecting and doing nerdy stuff as hobbies, good luck.

I'm dating a girl now. I really don't get what she sees in me. My negative traits far outweigh my positive traits. She says that I'm "the kindest person she knows". It's really nice and flattering to hear, but I know it can't be true. I try to be kind, but I don't feel like I do enough. I think kindness is important, but I don't think it's enough on its own.

I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on how area/state, etc. affects a lot of this Courtney. I recently moved from Colorado to Florida and I instantly had an easier time conversing with women here. I haven't changed at all, so it's an interesting contrast.

I can’t agree more than heavy drug use. I was a on different opioids and I’ve noticed my face was really bloated and redness. I’m ~90 days clean and I’ve noticed how much better I look now

So happy to hear you shouting out mindfulness meditation! Meditation brings me such joy and peace. Science shows the benefits are tremendous and I personally hope people in general stop being so skeptical of how beneficial it is and just do it. I hope it becomes more like exercise or reading: not everyone does it, but you'd have to be a pretty unusual person to argue it's not useful and worthwhile. Meditation is deeply healing and moreover, it's essentially a way to observe and engage with our thoughts and emotions on the most fundamental level possible, by just being present with them and, rather than deliberately fleeing from them or stifling them, just allowing them to be. So meditation is worthwhile because learning about and sitting with our minds is worthwhile, *we* are worthwhile. As one Youtuber I love put it, "The best time to start meditating is right now." Because it really is! You don't need *anything* to meditate, it is essentially just paying attention. I love exercise but you do ideally need at least a mat, exercise clothes + shoes, and some weights, and if you can afford it a gym membership, to do it properly. All you need to meditate is yourself. I could go on and on, but it sounds like you don't meditate even though you respect it as a practice that can help people so I'll leave it at that. I'll just also agree about taking deep breaths (something Buddhism emphasizes alongside meditation- I am not Buddhist but I have a lot of respect for its more beneficial teachings) sleep, and exercising, all tremendously useful for stress reduction. I would have faced so much more stress in school without meditation or exercise. Good to be commenting again, Courtney, and it's always good to see you looking so happy and healthy!

Truly fix your sleep because it is your best performance enhancer, that is when you get to rebuild and store memory, and that's also when your best growth hormone is released, not just after exercise in the morning
