In my country, Canada, Supreme Court justices are held to very high standards, as it should be. Rules stipulate that "A judge holds office ... until he or she retires or attains the age of 75 years, but is removable for incapacity or misconduct in office before that time by the Governor General..."

Justices should have to follow very strict rules that come with extreme consequences if broken, such as losing their place on the supreme court.
