MORE ABOUT ME

I'm Anne of All Trades. In NASHVILLE, I have a woodworking, blacksmithing and fabrication shop, a selection of furry friends, and an organic farm. Whether you've got the knowledge, tools, time or space to do the things you've always wanted to do, everything is "figureoutable."

I became "Anne of All Trades" out of necessity. With no background in farming or making things, I wanted to learn to raise my own food, fix things when they break and build the things I need.

12 years ago I got my first pet, planted my first seed and picked up my first tool.

My goal is to learn and share traditional techniques and skills while showing my peers how to get from where they are to where they want to go, how to do the things they are passionate about, and what can be done TODAY to engage their own community and grow deep roots.

Whether it's carving spoons, making my own hand tools, restoring my antique truck or growing heirloom tomatoes, the farm and workshop definitely keep me busy and support - whether financially through Patreon, through shopping my affiliate links, through buying merchandise, plans or project videos, or even just liking, commenting, and sharing my content with others helps me GREATLY to keep producing quality content to share.

You know this lady is about her business when she grabs a turd and calls it nitrogen. PASSION! 🤣

Thank you for making this video, I learned a lot. Since I'm starting a garden of my own I'm trying to get as much advice and education as I can so that I can have a successful harvest. I appreciate the thorough explanations and the visuals as well as the engaging humor. You make learning fun :)

I like the idea of putting the dead carcass of a dandelion around the plant as a warning to other dandelions.

Thank you for your videos! One of the most productive garden beds in our yard occurred when I piled up weeds along the fence-line of our garden. The next year, we had some of the best growth I'd ever seen! I love the idea of using weeds for fertilizer!

Thank you so much for this. My garden is on an old native site that was bulldozed over by the city. The soil here is rich and dark, but the previous tennants let the garden bed completely go to waste.

I dont want to use pesticides or Anything like that. And this helped a lot :)

This is 100% my channel! I began studying plants on the wild over 25 years ago. Over the years, a few moves, gardening and studying 'weeds' or what I call wild edibles, I do wild gardening. Not only do I let them grow, but I eat them. When my son was little he had weeping excema, and I used Chickweed in a salve. Oh, and I'm on Carnivore to lose weight, so yeah, yay to eating ribeyes! But I also grow pumpkins, which I absolutely love.

This has been a great lesson on weeds and how to use them to diagnose issues in your yard and figure out how to fix it the appropriate way without spraying broadleaf fertilizer. Thank you so much!

The most educational video, I believe I have ever seen regarding gardening. Or should i say guardening, since what your aproach does is guarding the natural way of life. The idea of turning weeds into tea, and replacing it with a similiar plant is simply brilliant. You forever changed the way I approach gardening. Thank you for that! My garden thanks you too, btw. :)

This video is fantastic. I try to teach these principles on a daily basis. Sometimes I have a hard time articulating and explaining this concept well.

You explained it in a brilliant way that I’ve seen few others do. I wish I could explain this like you do.

So good, thank you.

As someone who grew up knowing the great health benefits of several "weeds", I've always been very skeptical of the sentiment that weeds are bad and we must pull them out. I've wondered what "weeds" did say about our soil and the ecosystem around us but only had bits of ideas and thoughts. I'm grateful for this video and happy that I can now spread the word with such cohesive information. Thank you!

I have a milk jug that I put weeds in and a banana peel or something every so often. I will add this to my watering water on occasion. It is great!

I used a plant identification app and discovered that certain parts of my lawn have weeds that thrive in areas with high levels of cadmium or lead. Weeds can be a helpful indicator for identifying spots that need remediation, and specific plants, like sunflowers, are great for cleaning contaminated soil.
