I understand your frustration but two hurricanes back to back, I think you gotta cut some slack . No municipality has the capacity to load the amount of garbage you ALL have into their local landfill. You are correct that it's gonna be a dangerous shit storm coming, but much of the equipment needed to clean up your mess is likely being used in cleaning up more sensitive areas. Near hospital, powerplants, and airports. Take it easy on blaming people, this is a CATASTROPHE. They're trying their best. you're not the only street being effected, the people who's job it is to clean up have probably been hit also ... What YOU don't realize is, your not the only one affected!!

The Tampa mayor stated the trash collected in 2 weeks typcally takes 3 months to remove. Is this not accurate?

Many years ago, I lived in Tampa. So glad I left Florida. My heart really went out to Floridians, N.C. and Tennessee with hurricane Helene. And now with Milton on your doorstep, I'm genuinely sick to my stomach for what you all are about to further endure. Please stay safe & out of harms way. GODSPEED!!!!😢

Buddy get real!! You need to get that tv going, you're missing a lot of news! There were entire areas devastated. The city is doing everything it can to clean up. No ONE was expecting two hurricanes in less than 2 weeks!

You didn't know that Florida gets hurricanes and floods on the coast?

In 2004 when Florida got hit by Francis, then less than 2 weeks later Jeannie came through the SAME area. We had to take a lot of our trash and debris and bring it back into the garage. Our city did their best to get the debris from the first storm, but they simply couldn't get it all. I understand your situation. It is frustrating. Be safe during Milton

Not saying the city doesn’t deserve praise but that’s a whole lot of debris to pick up in less than two weeks.

Sad that Governor DeSantis doesn't accept the government help. The People pay the price of bad partisan politicians

The storm just happened a week ago
You really have high expectations of city services

You expected your city to have a week to pick up everything from Helen? 😂 sorry buddy it doesn’t work like that. DPW works around the clock when things like this happen including snow where I’m from. We do our absolute best to provide for the public while not seeing our own family’s for days on end. No one will ever understand this until they work for dpw.

The city failed miserably in not picking up the trash?. Smh, no! I've seen how hard they are working; it's an overload for waste management.

Trash collectors are hard to come by these days, no one wants to haul heavy, smelly trash all day for minimum wage.

That is crazy that they didn't pick up all the trash! At least close to the water they should have cleared it up!
This is maddening!

There is so much trash the governor asked that everybody would pitch in to get it to the landfills before Milton hit Shore they are kind of going as fast as they can. Good luck man

DeSantis opened the dumps. Few people can take care of it all.
