Tornadoes confirmed, conditions deteriorating as Hurricane Milton nears Florida

The guy in his boat, is disabled (missing a leg). They stopped his disability check, and he just needs help, he has no money. It's not uncommon for certain people to never ask for help, or to feel undeserving of help. Guy just needs help and encouragement, he just needs to know that he matters.

I love how everubody forgets the financial aspect of evacuation like yeah u work minimum wage and barely afford tent just leave and go too another state with little too no money. Bring able too abruptly relocate is a luxury not a norm

J slept through helene? Hate to say it, but Bro is already dead, helene just passed next to tampa, it didnt even hit. He probably just got some thunderstorms from the outer bands at most. Milton will be a DIRECT hit. Helene was also just a CAT2 when it passed tampa and though the killer of a hurricane is the stormserge, his boat is gonna be very vulnerable to the CAT4 - CAT5 winds that milton is bringing, not just the stormsurge...

As a seasoned sailor whose life is now contained in a flimsy RV, I understand that guy. But he's a fool IMO. Whatever ground tackle he could deploy during the worst conditions should already be employed now. Nothing he could do onboard during the peak winds and surge could help his boat survive. And, with all this PR, he could crowdfund a new or newly salvaged one in a day.
