After seeing how expensive this season is, it makes a lot more sense why some of the other series went away and why it took so long to produce this. Love to see it!

Should've saved that $6, 000 for the next engine 😂

I really liked Nolan's attention to detail on where the vortex generators actually needed to go for his application. I've always thought it was strange that they seem to always get put above the rear window whenever a spoiler was used. Nolan looking back at his "test" footage and going ahead and putting the gens on the glass where it looked like they needed to go according to the yarn movement is a real big function over style and big brain move in my book. That low car front splitter made from a template copy and plywood was the jam as well.

Jeremiah continues to be the most underrated donut team member, as an engineer I love this man, making learning fun is such a great talent to have and he’s got it

New show idea: give each of the hosts their own budget to buy and modify any car they want with the goal of being fastest on track. It could be all the same amount, or you could do random drawings to see who gets different amounts. Everyone can take what they have learned from hi low and actually try and apply it. Also you can have some mandatory parts (safety equipment and paint jobs) that some of the budget has to go to.

The wind tunnel element of this video is absolutely awesome. Really cool to see genuine engineering principles being brought into this.

Whoever came up with the idea of talking about your sponsor while putting random objects in a wind tunnel is a freaking genius. You should adopt that strategy for every add. This is the first time I've ever watched an entire ad on donut and only one of a couple times I've watched a full add on any YouTube channel. I did watch decent chunks of the Uncle Jerry has and enough of the first car relationship therapy sessions to understand the joke, but inevitably fast forward to the show content. I'm an underground member so that's how I eased my conscience about not watching the ads. But I'll keep watching them if you keep doing cool stuff during them. I'll have to.

Building your own wind tunnel and being able to explain all of this is just great! We love ya donut

Man! That wind tunnel to show the improvement was an amazing idea. Kudos to whoever came up with it

I love how they utilize the talent at doughnut, James, the personality and spokesperson, Zach, all star mechanic, Jerry, the engineer who explains things, and Nolan represents us, the frustrated enthusiasts who is Ballin on a budget but you can see the frustration in his eyes but eventually turns to pure joy once he's finished.

Aeronautics graduate here, great video and the concepts were extremely well explained! One thing to note though for low team is that the vortex generators help keep flow attached by energising the flow while it is still attached so it can remain attached for longer. Putting the generators so far down won't really be helping as by that point the flow is already separating.

You are KILLING IT with the sponsor segments. I have literally never seen anyone do a better job of it.

That conclusion seemed really rushed. I liked how in the first season you sat down and asked each other "does more money mean more better".

Now we need another yarn "test" to see if Nolan's "vortex generators" work where they are!

Gotta say this has been your best engineering explanation yet. It was simple and accurate and the wind tunnel was great! Jeremiah killed it

Since aero isn't entirely based on how it's made ( expensive materials etc ) but more on how it fits the specific track needs for the specific vehicle you want, half of the 6000$ should go to a consultation from a aerodynamicist for a custom made package. That would definitely show a better improvement on lap times.

I absolutely love this series. Never stop. Definitely bring back Nolan and James discussing which mods were worth the money at the end.

Donut dudes,

I'm literally one class away from my Aeronautics degree and you guys (Jerry, but I'm sure everyone was involved in research) did an amazing job discussing the aerodynamics of cars, producing lift, and producing downforce. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for your sacrifices guys lol
