As a newbie I bought the 90D with a couple of kit lenses and a prime 50mm. I use it only for stills. The cropped sensor doesn’t effect me. So you’re zoomed in a bit more. The camera has a steep learning curve, IMHO, but I wanted something I could grow into and have the flexibility to improve my photography. Today, I am absolutely loving the 90D and the results. This camera rekindled an old passion. One of the best purchases I’ve made.

I think the 90D is a great professional level dslr and not for amateurs. Would be quite an investment for a beginner hobbyist. Planning to upgrade from my t3i which I've been using for a lot of my gigs and clients have been happy with it. Not only the gear, quality and output also depend on your shooting and editing skills.

Still own this camera it’s definitely got the video aspect in the bag . 💼 I’ll most likely be buying a better camera for the photography side of things, but nunetheless it’s an awfully versatile camera packed w features sure to satisfy any entry level content creator/Videographer. You get a lot for what you pay for, there’s no denying that ‼️ don’t be scared to give it a shot I still have mine 📸 🔥

The m50 won’t hold a candle to the 90d
The 4k alone is far superior in the 90d.
That plus the amazing battery life of the 90d makes it a camera thsts hard to beat for you tube.

Great to hear your thoughts and I still find myself dithering over whether its worth to pay extra £300 + for the 90D over the new 850D - the 850 D is lighter, 4k is cropped, and is 24megapixels compared to 90d 32megapixels but i think prefer 24megapixels less giant size files taking more space and no improvement in quality on 90D - the main reasons for 90d would be uncropped 4k and having a headphone jack finally

Hands down one of the best APS-c Cameras from Canon Still upset they took out All-I though when i had the 80D All-I was Available. but they gave us 120FPS i did alot of videos with this camera

Could also think about getting m6ii... youtube is saturated with m50 vids, from what I can tell m6ii is the same as 90D. I think the m6ii is the undiscovered cheaper 90D. But m50 is best first camera EASILY. I’ve had all of them, slowly got to EOSR

Nice video. I have the 80D and am looking to upgrade. I'm curious as to why you find the video quality of the 90D sufficient to professional client work compared to the R. Is it the lack of C-log? Is it the bitrate? Is it that much different in image quality?

What would you say for purely Stills and maybe very little video for someone that has only ever shot DSLR, mainly Street Photography with some Land/Seascape thrown in the mix? I’m at more enthusiast level but need something that’s going to last a few years, will I be better holding out and saving a little more to move to either Full Frame or a Mirrorless. I’ve looked at the RP but whilst some love it they seem to love it more for Video.

Hey that's really great review. I am planning to buy one. My heart is completely set on 90d but my mind keeps on moving to alternatives too. I want to buy DSLR for street food photography, food review vlogging. Wanted to know if I can go with 90d or let know if there is any other options in Canon

Im stuck between a 5D MKiii and a EOS R. Im really tempted by the EOS R because the 28-70mm f/2 rf lens looks incredible for portraits etc. What are your thoughts?

Hey Tom. Watched alot of your videos and enjoying them. I own a GH5 and have two sigma EF mount lenses. Been thinking of getting the 90D to be compatible with those lenses as a B cam and for it's autofocus system (gimbal shots) and even it's high megapixel still shots. What do you reckon?
