I shot the whole A-Roll of me talking on my 10-year-old Canon T4i, my very first camera! Let me know how the quality stood up! Anyways, DSLRs are not dead and I'm still using my 90D strong today!

I purchased a Canon 7t because I was on a budget. At first I was happy with it because it was my first “real” camera. But then I noticed that it was lacking the features that I really wanted, such as a touch screen and auto focus. Also, most youtube videos had negative comments about the video mode. I just purchased the 90D and it immediately impressed and made me happy! It has all the features I didn’t know I wanted. I’m still trying to learn the features and settings but already I’m so impressed. Now I feel like I have a REAL CAMERA. I will look for more videos in your channel so I can learn more about this wonderful camera.

Just purchased the 90D tonight. It should be here by the end of the week. So of course i'm going through Youtube and digging a little deeper about it.

I have used Canon SLRs for about 48 years, half of that time as a photojournalist. I have upgraded several times since then, but now I have been using a 90D for the last four years. I shoot mostly videos with phenomenal results. I recently added a 16-35mm L series lens to the fleet, also with great results. As for DSLRs, I certainly hope they do not go away. Nothing beats looking at an image through the lens as it will be recorded. After all, we have been doing it this way for almost sixty years.

I use the 90d and have 6 ef and ef-s lenses. There is no reason to upgrade. Many people think from my photos i use a full sensor camera.

For anyone looking to buy this camera... I bought it back in 2020 wanting to start a youtube channel with it, I never did. Instead, I started doing videography for local shops and now I have clients paying me $1000s to film videos for their businesses. I have only ever used the 90D with sigma 18-35mm - I do have Cinestyle c-log preset installed so image comes out flat then I colour grade it in post, I don't know if it genuenly works or not since I've never used the REAL c-log but I love how the colors and highlights turn out so I'll stick with it.

If you got the money, go buy a mirrorless camera. If you want to stay on a budget or want to start a solo video agency to test the waters, 90D won't disappoint.

I was using my 90d for 3 years, shot a bunch of short films and music videos with it. But the 8bit color was too limiting for me. Upgraded to a sony fx30. Love it. Still have my 90d as my backup/ photo camera

I just rented the 90d and 70-300 canon lens to shoot the total solar eclipse and the shots were amazing!! Loved the feel of the camera like you said. Bulky, but not too much, makes you feel like you’re using a serious camera. Haven’t had a legit camera in years and this has me thinking about investing! Mirrorless is here to stay though 🤔

I purchased my 90D almost year ago and I can’t stop shooting with it, loved the feel of the body and loved how pictures look straight out of the 📸

I’m glad you’re young, but appreciate the value of the older models. I was planning to buy a 90D from a shop near me and called to get details on it and the (younger) guy I talked to began discouraging me from buying it, pushing the newer styles - I assume because he gets commission (?) maybe. But that wasn’t cool. I called a different shop, got an older guy (my age probably) who had nothing to say but he’d put my name on it and that was it. There’s a vast disconnect these days between the photographer and the camera. A good photographer can shoot great images with almost any camera. It’s about knowing light, composition and what to display - with digital it’s way too easy to work at it till it’s right, or delete it all. Thanks for the review. 😊

Excellent camera.. Beast of a Camera. For me, it's best for wildlife and sports and printwork. Even thoughit's not a full frame the pixels make a huge difference compared to many full frames when cropping. It's great for portraits for weddings as well and printing artwork such as canvases. It is really a hybrid and combination between DSLR & Mirroless. 2 in 1. This camera beats many mirrorless cameras when it comes to battery life, build quality, overheating. Another awesome thing is the number of lenses that are compatible with it from the cheapest to the prime ultrasonic canon lenses. I will never replace it. I will only add on to it as it's extremely reliable and is a jack of all trades.

90D is true workhorse. Not upgrading till it dies.

I bought a used 80D 3 years ago when the 90D came out. $800 like new with the 18-135mm kit lens. Screaming deal. I've since bought a number of other lenses and they've really made me appreciate the 18-135. Great images but a little bulky. Thinking about upgrading to a used 90D now. BTW, you can get an 80D with the kit lens for about $500 now. And you're in business with a semi-pro camera with a HUGE selection of used lenses available. You won't regret it - either the 80 or 90. If you can stretch for the extra $200-300, get the 90. But the 80D is real value and you won't suffer

I bought the 90d when it came out years ago and still use it to this day as a back up to my fx3! Pair the 90d with a sigma lens and you’ll be blown away by the image quality!

I’ve had my 90 D for almost 5 years now. A year ago I also bought the R6 Mark ii. That’s a great camera, but I still love my 90 D. It just has a great feel and I do like the DSLR feel especially!

I really enjoyed your video and particularly agree with your comments on the lenses.

Had mine for 4 years as an upgrade from, initially an EOS650 35mm, to EOS350D, so I have an EF 28-70, 100-300, plus EF-S 10-22 and 18-200. So easy to use and the phone app is a gem. Love it ❤

While she was in high school my daughter was in marching band. For YouTube, I shot videos of the band's competitions using my iPhone and plenty of still photos on my old Canon Rebel DSLR. It was not until after my daughter graduated HS in 2020, that I purchased the Canon 90D. I had my eye on this camera because of the ability to shoot video while I could still make photos when it suited me. I was still able to use my "fleet" of EF lenses which was a huge plus. While the camera has a few shortcomings it still beats my old Rebel. Since then, I have used the 90D for the last three years making several videos for my YouTube channel.

Thanks for this. I just traded in my Canon M6 MII Mirrorless for a used Canon 90D on account of the EF-M format being discontinued and there should be plenty of EF lenses and accessories around for quite some time. Video and photo specs are on par with the M6 which is fine for my needs but the 90D has an added bonus of a headphone jack and far better battery life.
