I’m getting some wheels built up with this hub. I like how the DT Swiss star ratchets can be easily greased to keep them quiet. I like to hear my tires on dirt and that’s all!

I'm rocking the new 350s front and rear. Same bullet proof design with the same bullet proof ratchet. If DT ever switches over to EXPs throughout their lineup then I'll be on something else. Another great video!

I have one of the recalled 180 exp hubs. I opted to change the innards myself, and even with the right tools it was not easy! I even made a YT vid on it. If I was to buy hubs tomorrow, I'd get the 350 or maybe the Onyx ones if I was feeling spendy. I wouldn't recommend the exp hubs for home mechanics. They aren't as easy to service any more, you need to TON of leverage and a special tool to get the inner ratchet out.

Great review I just purchased a 2022 350 rear hub with 54t engagement had it laced up, and it is so good with virtually no perceivable take up, I'm right on the power as soon as I even think about peddling

Tip ifor the smooth caps: grease them well, then they will be easy to remove. If you don't they will be hard to remove, and need to lift the wheel by the cap, and shake it until wheel drops, of course do it in a safe are close to the floor.
With well greased caps you won't need to do that, just pull them off.

Over 10 years on my DT Swiss 350 and it's still working great. I've always been a fan of their wheels sets.

I love the 350, I use the new ones on my Trail Bike and my Road Bike and the old one on my XC Bike (XC and road with 54 tooth rings) and I'm super happy with them!!! There are definitely more fancy hubs out there but I love the fact that 350s just work well and are not too expansive. I enjoy building my own wheels but it is kind of expansive...

DT swiss mechanism is simple, easy to disassemble for maintenance, light, reliable, affordable. After using it I never look at other brands.

I do love my DT Swiss 350's, but I wish they would come in colors like most of the competition.

Going to be building a new set of wheels soon with these hubs. The Straight Pull Centerlock version of that hub is even lighter :) Was going to do an XT hub, but more interested in the versatility of the DT Swiss with the interchangeable freehub. Lacing it to DT Swiss rim, prob Pillar triple butted spokes, or Sapim race.

I've got the old style 350 hubs on my Pivot Trail 429 on its winter wheels. So it comes in super boost plus size as well.

I went for DT Swiss 350 front hub and Spank Hex rear. The Spank is cheaper, a bit heavier and has 3 degree engagement.

Thanks for the video. Very informative. The new 350s look great. I have a set of the old style on my fatbike. They are great hubs.

Does 2022 HG freehub comes in steel? I think I read before that the old vs new bearing position have been moved outward more or something. What about the QR end caps for boost and non boost to QR, front and rear, are they the same? Planning to buy the pre 2022 350s because of cheaper price. Is the Glossy paint the only bad thing about it? Is it also true that the centerlock hubs have smaller bearing sizes than the 6 bolt versions? Thanks a lot! You are the best on this technical stuff!

With the 36t being standard and the upgraded shell, I may consider the 350 finally, if my Shimano hubs fail, I'd prefer something quieter though, so crossing my fingers, quiet options are slowly popping up.

From road bike/premium/ carbon wheelset perspective i would go with the 240/180 hubs but for mtb the 350 are very good, more durable and cheap. In general all dt swiss hubs/ wheelsets be a very good, light and affordable option....
