How do I know if my glue and wood filler are water-based? (I'm using DAP Plastic Wood-X All Purpose Wood Filler and Gorilla Wood Glue, which says "water resistant" on the label).

I appreciate the tip my amateur question is if Im using this on a exterior window sill wouldn't the rain start to soften it again even if its hardened for weeks ?

I was wondering if this is any different from the acetone stuff. I like how it becomes smooth(acetone base)but it doesn't give you a lot of working time. It dries almost immediately. What are the pros and cons between the two?
