I had this cassette back in the 80s...it only had 6 songs on it but they were all jams!!! My homeboy Morris Day from Springfield, Illinois!!!

I saw Morris back in '07 and it was a dope show. Met him after and he was super friendly. Later on, he was waking through the casino he performed in and jammed at the karaoke bar with all the guests. That's a class act.

Our hometown music heroes, it was a crazy awesome time in Minneapolis and I was a 13 yr old in Mpls and snuck onto the set of Purple Rain and we thought they were just filming a video we had no idea what it would become....Memories
