This is a great feature. However, the requirement for your friend’s Apple ID email address saved in your contact pretty much kills its practicality, IMO. Asking your friend for his/her Apple ID is just awkward.

Lots of times I forget about this, and i go into my notes app, find the WiFi password, tell the person letter by letter, then it says
“Share wifi password?”
I’m like, seriously. I could have skipped all those steps. Thanks apple 😃

Seriously have to do this much for a wifi. I have both apple and redmi phones. In redmi just tap share, it shows qr code, scan the code and you are connected.

I’ve used this feature often for years now but it seems to always be a hit or miss. Is it essential that both phones have Apple ID emails saved to the others contact? I feel like this requirement would really limit the usability of the feature
