Anyone making these videos ever hang out with ‘old money’? I do. The majority of the guys wear Seiko’s and collect cars you don’t see on YouTube. Wives vary. Some love watches. Some don’t. The ones that do overwhelmingly wear Cartier. ‘Luxury watches’ are for the poor and nouveau riche.

oh now, old money, means they don't buy junt.. when you have so much wealth you can afford to buy the absolute best, when it comes to wristwatches, it is also seen as an investment, if the watch is bought new, it is seen as a piece to transfer to your son or daughter 20-30 years down the line etc.. and no wealthy watch collector ever heard about "Ignite Automatic"... Tissot? maybe a beater watch for when they go camping... more than ever you'd see Rolex and similar worn as a daily watch, the Patek only on special occasions, the vintage piece inherited from grandpa? never.. it is in the safe, waiting to be transferred to the next generation when you will pass away
