As an American who watches [far too much] British television, I sometimes experience things few others have. In America "fanny" is a silly juvenile term that refers to the buttocks - it's a polite euphemism used with young children. I can't think of a comparable British word - perhaps "rear", and it's a bit below "bum" in terms of vulgarity and significantly below "arse". When I hear it on a British program, for a moment my brain goes by the old definition I learned first, then I remember the British colloquialism is being used. It's rather hilarious (to me). It's like that ephemeral moment when you first grasp a joke, but it happens twice (with no amnesia required). Like a joke upgrade, at least in this case.

I haven't watched this yet or seen the description but I'm gonna guess it's to support women who have breast cancer or to encourage new mums.

I heard about these a little while back and supposedly they have been very helpful for mothers-to-be to be more comfortable and confident when it's time for them to feed their newborns.

In America, we knit boobs for women who've undergone mastectomies. The "knitted knockers" are soft on sensitive scar tissue and can be made any size. Also, they're incredibly inexpensive, especially compared to prostheses.

I was fairly convinced that (without nipples) they were prosthetic breasts for bikini's and summerwear after having your breasts removed.
I've seen them, people I know, use them. It's not as heavy or sweaty as silicone ones and they don't take up any water if you use the right filling.

2:03 That's hilarious. I had younger siblings and NEVER had a problem with diaper changing. Watching an older child puke, though ... that was a whole 'nother thing. Could be one of the reasons I opted to stick to cats all my adult life ...

For some reason I never minded infants regurgitating their formula. Probably because there was no gagging and retching involved ... just a sudden mess. 😆
