Fantastic video! We are both in our 80's and feel better than ever! We are all about healthy aging. For us, changing to a whole-food plant-based diet put us on the path to great health, happiness, and long life. We are doing research for our new healthy-aging advice YouTube channel to inspire others. Learned a lot here. Thank you.

Dr. Greger

Your vids on Autism are a great resource. I have friends with kids diagnosed with Autism/Asperger’s Syndrome. I've introduced your vids to them and they are grateful. One kid hates all vegetables and fruits and lived on a diet of sugary drinks, plain pasta, white bread ... well you get the idea. People with Autism should not be viewed as not sub par and needing fixing. But from what I can see as a layperson, people with Autism suffer greatly from levels of stress that folks without autism can easily handle or ignore. Once my friend started to change their diet, the child's anxiety lessened, she is starting to move through her life with greater ease. All the other things that makes her special; her intelligence, love of sports or interest in hobbies did not change. It is a slow process, but noticeable. Thanks to the information you are sharing. Please continue, it is needed.

Eggplant is good in Italian food. I use it as a sub for ground beef. Shred or small dice it, then water saute until tender, then use as you normally would use browned ground beef. Finely chopped mushroom can also be added which it makes it taste meatier. I use this as a pasta sauce over whole wheat pasta or spaghetti squash, it's also good in lasagna.

My kid prefer it raw, cut into sticks and dipped in hummus

Dear Dr. Gregor, I am amazed you can remember as much as you do! So many questions...so little time...Are frozen berries as healthy as fresh ones? I prefer the taste of fresh blueberries, but sometimes it is easier to find the frozen ones.
thank you for being such a great medial resource for everyone!
May you continue in good health, prosperity and joy in your life.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Warmest wishes,

I'm so happy that someone asked precisely the same question I had and it just so happens to be the first one answered! It's been bugging me for a while. I'm glad to know that I can just take DHA and not worry about EPA.

These Live Q&A's are great, but the time difference means I always miss them. Would love to hear your thoughts on Bulgaricus Bacillus. People in Bulgaria swear by it and it's a very unique bacteria (responsible for Bulgarian/Greek yoghurt)... buuuut it's dairy.!!

Thank you for your time and information!
Would like to see the new software updated so the questions can be long as necessary.
We should use few words as possible, but you can't answer some of the questions because you don't have enough information.

What are your thoughts on Dr. David Sinclair's work on NMN as an NAD+ booster to slow aging?

About the canker sores Although not completely vegan yet (working on it), I have observed the only time I get canker sores (suffering from one now actually) is from those little round white coffee creamers. You know those ones we used to drink in fun from restaurant tables when we were kid? Yah it’s guaranteed if I drink one, a horrible mouth sore or sores will follow the coming days. Just sharing my particular situation to see if anyone else’s is similar.

What can I do about zolpidem addiction, which I took daily for a year and a half because a doctor prescribed and lied about what it was after I had refused sleep medicine?

Check Georgian eggplant rolls. Great way to eat eggplants with wallnuts and pomegranad.

I'm going to be very interested in your whole discussion about stents and statins. I have no doubt that stents have saved my life after an MI and very bad blockages. Now as far as long term and remaining on the same diet as before an MI, yes I would agree that stents may not be adequate, however if stents are used to temporarily relieve the blockages and then a dietary approach to repair is used then I most definitely believe in the benefit. It's the "clear the blockage" and then allow the "pipes to get cleaned" approach. Much like plunging the sink to get liquids flowing and then using draino to break the fats which will clear the constrictions over time. I am very interested in the Statin discussion since my LDL/HDL levels are really low now and I'm on a low dose Statin which I personally believe is not helping.
